Fall Foliage Dinner: Central Park Conservancy’s Autumn Fundraiser

Set on the property of the old Tavern on the Green, the Central Park Conservancy‘s foliage-themed tent was quite the showstopper during their fall fundraising event on Thursday. The tent, which also served as the tent for the NYC marathon, was transformed into what felt like an enchanted forest of vibrant colors by environmental designer Bronson van Wyck. Even the transparent rooftop allowed for another dimension of ambiance as lit trees surrounded the tent on the outside.

Following a reception of seasonal butlered hors d’oeuvres — including Lamb Tangine Turnovers, Gingered Tuna Tartar and Butternut Squash Risotto Cakes — guests were treated to our signature Frozen Rosemary Cider Pops for a palette cleanser as they exited the cocktail area. For the dinner portion of the evening, the service maintained a “comfort food” theme with dishes including our Grilled Camebert Cheese Sandwiches, Truffled Chicken Pot-Pies and warm Cherry Pie-in-a-Jar a la mode. But we couldn’t send gets into the cold of the night empty-handed. As the crowd departed, everyone was given a to-go cup of rich hot chocolate along with a warm chocolate chunk cookie. A sweet ending to the perfect fall night!
